Gibson Certified Vintage 1954 Gibson Les Paul Junior, Sunburst

1954 Gibson Les Paul Junior, Serial Number 4 3925

This 1954 Gibson Les Paul™ Junior is a standout first-year example of Gibson’s no-frills solidbody workhorse, originally shipped on October 29, 1954, to Walker Piano. These early Juniors are the only version to feature pearl dot inlays, a short-lived detail that was changed to celluloid in later years.

The original short bridge bushings—known to lean over time—were replaced with longer bushings for improved structural integrity. Light lacquer touch-up is present around the edges of the peghead face, addressing minor nicks and dings. The body shows mild checking throughout, along with a mix of smaller marks and a few larger dings that go through the finish. The white button tips on the original Kluson® no-line tuners were replaced.

Because the original neck angle was shallow and didn’t provide the best playability, Gibson Repair & Restoration did a neck reset, along with a refret and new nut. The result is a guitar that plays like a dream while maintaining its historic integrity.

Comes with a new Lifton™ faux-gator skin hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, Letter of Appraisal, and new Limited Lifetime Warranty.
