Kramer 84 HH Quilt, Purple Burst, Exclusive

A modern take on the legendary Kramer 84, with expanded features, an ebony fretboard, AAAA quilt maple top veneer, and all of the hard rockin’ attitude intact

The Kramer 84 HH Quilt is an updated version of the legendary Kramer 84. While it has expanded features, we’ve kept all of the Made to Rock Hard Kramer attitude of the originals. The Kramer 84 HH Quilt is outfitted with an alder body with a gorgeous AAAA quilt maple veneer top. The body is equipped with a Floyd Rose® 1000 Series tremolo paired with an R2 locking nut for vibrato bar gymnastics without the worry of knocking things out of tune. The neck is a thermally aged bolt-on hard maple neck with a satin finish and an ebony fretboard that has 22 jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays. The neck has a Kramer SlimTaper™ C profile that is thin and fast, so it is ideal for shredding. The fretboard features a compound radius that is 10” at the nut and flattens out to 14” further up, so playing first-position chords is easy while allowing you to play deep string bends further up the neck without the notes fretting out. The dual-action truss rod is adjusted with a spoke wheel-style truss rod adjustment nut, which is positioned at the end of the fretboard for unfettered access. The body’s gloss finish is duplicated on the front of the 84 non-angled big banana headstock, and the front of the headstock has a matching quilt maple veneer. The 84 HH Quilt’s headstock has a classic Kramer logo, is fitted with die-cast tuning machines, a nickel string retaining bar, and has a wrench holder for the Floyd Rose on the rear, so you’ll always have the tools to adjust the tremolo on hand.

The updated electronics feature a pair of Kramer USA-made Eruption pickups that were designed by Gibson Master Luthier Jim DeCola. Instead of having mounting rings, the pickups are screwed directly into the body for enhanced sustain. A 3-way toggle pickup selector switch allows you to use each pickup by itself or together, and two mini toggle switches (one for each pickup) are provided for coil splitting, giving you a choice of humbucker™ and single coil tones that you can combine at will. A single master volume control with a retro-style black fluted knob controls the overall volume level of both pickups simultaneously, making it easy to crank things up for your awe-inspiring solos. A Kramer premium gig bag is included with the Kramer 84 HH Quilt to keep this Made to Rock Hard shredder safe when you’re traveling to your next gig.
